Charles and June have known each other since 2018, first connecting through Tom Atlee. Over the years, June has engaged in or advised a handful of Charles's initiatives — including the Climate Change & Consciousness conference and Networked Adaptive Organisms (nao.is) — and their collaboration deepened after meeting in person in Zürich in 2024. Charles Blass works alongside June as NWI's Community Wisdom Gardener — a role that's part friend, part advisor, part partner: helping design new work, compost what's already been learned into something usable, harvest the patterns worth keeping, and ripple all of it back out into the world. For over a decade, Charles has embraced collective sensemaking and network practices — cofounding the Collective Intelligence Collaboratory (CICOLAB) and the World Wise Web communities, among others — growing ways for groups to capture and apply shared learnings. Based in Zürich, Charles runs Lovevolv Inc, a New York nonprofit supporting and evolving community practice, network weaving, and knowledge stewardship. Lovevolv also serves as the Network Weaving Institute's fiscal sponsor.
